电动自行车最高限速拟上调

8月25日提请十四届全国人大常委会会议初次审议的道路交通安全法修订草案，将电动自行车在非机动车道内行驶时的最高时速限制从15公里调整为20公里，并且明确规定驾驶电动自行车在道路上行驶不得有逆向行驶、超速行驶、违反交通信号通行以及拨打或者接听手持电话、观看视频等行为。

同时，草案规定电动自行车的驾驶人和乘车人应当按照规定戴安全头盔。

A draft revision to China's Road Traffic Safety Law was submitted for its first reading to the ongoing session of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the country's top legislature, on Tuesday, proposing new rules on autonomous vehicles and measures targeting distracted driving and electric bicycles.

Rules on electric bicycles also proposed to be adjusted. The draft would raise the maximum speed for electric bicycles in non-motorized vehicle lanes from 15 km/h to 20 km/h.

It would also prohibit riders from traveling against traffic, speeding, violating traffic signals, using handheld phones or watching videos while riding. Riders and passengers would be required to wear safety helmets in accordance with relevant regulations.
